Nice oaky attack on the nose followed by scents of red currants, cherry and raspberry and a spicy ending. The acidity is high, typical for Pinot Noir with a low level of tannins, has a long pleasant fruity finish.
Bauer Winery was founded in 2012 by Oliver Bauer, a German winemaker and his wife. The main focus of the winery is to produce wines out of small amounts of highly selected grapes from old vines. Their statement is “Natural Creativity” not in the concept of “the best wine”, that’s why they usually exceed the DOC regulations.
