Josef – Cabernet Sauvignon is made by Birăuaș Cellar, a boutique Romanian winemaker that owns only 5 hectares of vine. The old vine of Cabernet Sauvignon is used to produce high quality wines suitable for ageing. Birăuaș vineyard is renowned to produce the so-called “stone wines”, the soil gives the wines more intense red color and a higher acidity – the typicity of the area.
Josef – Cabernet Sauvignon has an intense ruby color and aromas of red cherries, blackberries and sour cherries.
The aromas are completed with the high acidity and tannins, scents of wood and smoke, with a long finish.
Josef was maturated for 18 months in one time used oak barrels to preserve the characteristics of the wine, without the flavors given by the fresh new barrels.
