Vinarte was founded in the late 1990s by a mix of Romanian, French and Italian investors and works two of the most important sites in southern Romania: 160 hectares at Stârmina, Mehedinți, near the Danube, and 50 hectares at Sâmburești, Olt.
The team describes itself as pioneers of modern oenology in Romania and credits its work to the unique terroir of Romania and the craftsmanship and dedication of the team who, year after year, creates wines that reflect the authentic essence of this land. Wines are vinified at two cellars: Crama Bolovanu in Olt and Crama Stârmina in Mehedinți.
