Via Viticola Sarica Niculițel was established in 1991 in the oldest vineyard of Dobruja, near the hills of Sarica and Niculițel, where grapevine cultivation has been a common practice for millennia.
The producer farms a large area in northern Dobrogea, between the Sarica and Niculițel hills and the cool influence of the Danube, and works both indigenous and international grapes under several labels — most prominently Caii de la Letea. Since 2019 the winery has operated within the Vintruvian Estates group together with Domeniile Prince Matei.
