Founded in 2010, Casa de Vinuri Ștefănești is described by its owners as a new story in the ancient wine region of Ștefănești. Their 25 hectares sit on the Marcea plateau in Argeș, and the modern winery built in the middle of the vineyard runs on photovoltaic and geothermal energy.
They are credited with putting the DOC Ștefănești designation back on Romania’s viticultural map after it had nearly disappeared.
