Founded in 2007 by Bordeaux-trained wine engineer Laurent Pfeffer with co-owners Frédéric Vauthier (Château Lucas, Saint-Émilion) and Dominique Pfeffer. The estate sits on the former Bibescu domain in Corcova — the same vineyards that Prince Antoine Bibesco and Marcel Proust spoke of during the Belle Époque.
The team describes their work as a long process during which we make no compromises, and as of 2024 the wines are made from certified organic grapes following a three-year conversion. Wines are released in two lines, Freamăt and Epopee.
