Averești Estates

Discover the charm of the Huși Vineyard, where the rich tradition of Romanian wines meets the modern world! Averești Estates are a picturesque place, where the wine heritage comes to life, combining tradition with modern winemaking concepts and technologies.

Every wine from Averești is a symbiosis between dedication and innovation, which recalls a story lost in the fog of time. Our wines come from the historical Moldova-Huși region, an area that bears the imprint of the passion and tradition of winemaking, honoring the ancient customs of the place and our commitment to quality, making them respected symbols of Romanian excellence, appreciated not only in the country, but also in the whole world.

Located in the north-east of Romania, the Averești Winery Center enjoys the sun-bathed lands and grapes of the Huși Vineyard. Here, grapevines have been cultivated for centuries, with a history that seems to reach back to the ancient Cucuteni culture (5800 – 2750 BC).

Averești Estates are driven by a collective passion for creating exceptional wines, a project that began in 2010 and was carried out by a group of wine enthusiasts. Our involvement has resulted in the transformation of the vineyards which now span 650 hectares with vines of noble quality, along with the establishment of a state-of-the-art winery and the employment of a team of expert oenologists and winegrowers. Our commitment is evident in the careful cultivation of grape varieties on dedicated plots, thus ensuring the uniqueness and excellent quality of our wines, many of which achieve DOC certification.

Averești Estates

In our vineyards, we find a variety of grape varieties suitable for various tastes. For lovers of white and rosé wines, we grow aromatic varieties such as Basil of Bohotin, Roman Frankincense and Muscat Ottonel, alongside neutral or semi-aromatic varieties such as Zghihara, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Feteasca Alba, Feteasca Regala and Aligote.

Red wine enthusiasts can enjoy Feteasca Neagră, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Merlot.

Averești Estates own the largest area cultivated with Busuioacă de Bohotin and are the only producer that vinifies the famous Romanian grape variety Zghihară de Huși, another proof of involvement in the preservation of the Romanian viticultural heritage.
