Wines created by Sarica Niculițel have a unique identity characterized by a few special elements that guarantee the wines are different than other wines on the market.
This special wine is produced at the oldest vineyard in Dobrogea, dating more than 2500 years. This vineyard was reconstructed and upgraded and now has been planted with noble varietals of vitis vinifera grapes. The climatic and soil properties in this region guarantee that varietals such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Feteasca Alba for the white wines as well as Feteasca Neagra, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvicgon for the red wines have ideal conditions to express themselves in a unique way. A special word for Alligote is that it found here a new home, being unanimously appreciated as very expressive and different than in other parts of the world.
The Niculitel village is situated in north-west part of the region Tulcea. This region is a forested depression with a wide opening to the north towards the hillside called Niculetului Hills. This region is 20 kilometers apart from the city of Tulcea.
Due to the fact that the village of Niculetului is situated close to the Hercinici Mountains and between the river bays of the Danube Delta and the Danube Delta, the geology of this area is very important component of the terroir because the soils contains a high amount of clay and skeletal calcar.
The climate in this region is continental – temperate, long summers , drought, mild winters with strong winds. The average temperature is 10.8 degrees and precipitations stand at the measure of 350-450 mm/mp per year.
