Stonewine Cadarca

21,90

Cadarca has been in our wine-region for a long time. This is the grape variety that Miniș has become famous for.

The color is ruby with a deeper tone than average Cadarcă’s. Its taste and smell is a rich mix of spicy, wildflower and fruity flavors.

The wine’s concentrated zinc content boosts men’s potential. Maybe this quality made it so well-known in Vienna in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Cadarcă is a fecund variety with naturally high yields, but we can obtain a high quality by setting significant yield-limits (we harvest around 5 tons/ha). This red wine is made by natural fermentation, and was matured in barrels of 5,000 l.

In the approx. 120 ha vineyard 80% red grape and 20% white grape is grown, bearing a 8.000 hl storing capacity. Our philosophy is to emphasize the traditional grape varieties of Carpathian Basin. Our well-known white wine are Fetească Regală, meaning Royal Princess, Mustoasă de Măderat, native in Miniș vineyard and Furmint planted first in 2008. Among red wines Kadarka, Blaufrankish, and Fetească Neagră originally coming from inner-Transylvania planted first in 2007 are worthily popular. Our winery is truly proud of the historically legendary red aszú vine, called Kadarisszima, which can be made in only the best vintages. White grape varieties such as Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, and red ones like Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are also grown and can be found often in cuvées.
