In 1990, the Negrini Wine House bought the former property of General Teodrini, an illustrious character of Romania’s interwar period The wineyard is located in Drăgăşani area, an ancient landmark of Romania’s wine industry. The domain includes ten hectares, seven of which are plated with vines and the rest it is a forest, on top of a hill. In the middle of the property there is a mansion and a wine cellar. Negrini Wine House has replanted vineyards with Fetească Regală, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Negru de Drăgăşani.

Why Negrini?
“It’s one of my three names, my father, who was an oenologist. Vine and wine were the passion of his life. The property belonged to General Teodrini and is one of well known wineries in the area, along with Ştirbey and Bratianu. After the death of my father, inheriting this property, I decided to carry on the tradition of the family, to create a wine cellar, a wine, a name in memory of my parents”

Cristina Viorica Negrini Gheorghe, founder of the Negrini Wine House

Through our varieties, we wanted to revive both the tradition and the fame of these selected wines. The Negrini symbol, Ballerina, was chosen in honor of the predecessor of this Wine House as a result of the love story between him and a Italian ballerina. His followers, who honored his memory, fulfilling the dream of owning a vineyard, produce bottled wines under the label of the ballerina as a symbol of elegance, good taste, but also of love and passion. This is how the Negrini Wine House was born, whose passion and love for history and wine is reflected in the wines we produce today.
We invite you to discover the whole story in every Negrini bottle!
