The Rasova area, located in the west part of Dobrogea, benefits from the ideal conditions for winemaking.
The presence of the sun plays an essential role for the quality of grapes and wine and is one of the strong symbols of the winery. The huge potential of terroir is given by its location in the vicinity of the Danube river, influenced by a number of factors conducive to the development of a quality vineyard: dry climate, the presence of the Danube wind, limestone and sand, the Dobrogean trophic chain: rare animals (Dobrogean tortoise, poppane, pelican).
Visitors can follow the Danube course from the sunny terraces of the wine cellar, describing a charming landscape that harmoniously complements the “wine road”.
The main grape varieties grown in Rasova, with care and passion for quality, are Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Cabernet, Syrah and Pinot Noir.

Grapes grown at full maturity are harvested manually using a qualitative selection process. The best grape are stored special boxes, no more than 12 kilograms/ box. Once in the wine cellar, the grapes are acclimated for optimal processing, which then continues with an Oscillis decanter, the processing being gravitational. For fermentation, grapes are deposited in tanks of varying sizes to maintain good grain control and preserve each grape flavor. The maturation is done in predominantly French oak, as wine evolves, and this process is controlled daily by wine cellists. Using advanced technologies alongside traditional hand-made processes, we are able to develop an ideal processing system to create the highest quality wine.
