Red wines
The nose of Épopée Red – Cabernet Franc is elegant, with a bouquet of ripe fruit (plums, cherries), smoky notes and spices (licorice, cloves). The taste is full, long and well balanced, due to the presence of well-structured tannins.
The main stages of the development of this wine
Hand harvested in small crates;
Pre fermentation maceration for 9 days to extract colour and aromas;
Alcoholic fermentation performed by indigenous yeasts;
Post fermentation maceration for 12 days to extract tannins;
Aging of 100% of the volume during 18 months on fine lees in 225 L Romanian barrels.

In Marcel Proust’s renowned masterpiece, the Catleya orchid is a symbol of love.
Since 2007, three French wine enthusiasts fell in love with Corcova wine region and its Proustian aura and chose this symbol to represent the vineyard, and Catleya Domain was born.
