From the sunlit slopes of Dealu Mare, Patima Fetească Neagră stands as one of the signature wines of DeMatei — powerful, elegant, and deeply rooted in place. Crafted from a single vineyard of old vines over 40 years old, this wine reflects the soul of the Teganeanu, Zorilor, and Dumbala hills, where patience and craftsmanship turn every harvest into something enduring.

In the glass, it reveals intense aromas of plum jam and black cherries, intertwined with notes of dark chocolate cream, pipe tobacco, and subtle balsamic undertones that linger through an almost endless finish. The palate is full and structured, with vibrant acidity, firm tannins, and remarkable ageing potential — a wine meant to evolve beautifully over the next decade.
